Python Job: Data Scientist

Work location: FULLY REMOTE within the EU and UK

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As our Data Scientist you are responsible for collecting structured and unstructured data from all sources, developing hypothesis, and validating them with various models. You will need to extract meaning from data, uncover insights and identify opportunities for business decision-making. What you can expect:

• Bring our dynamic pricing to state of the art level including optimization and efficiency
• Improve our forecasting process using Machine Learning to provide more accurate results
• Make personalization a standard for our web shop platform
• Work with business stakeholders to agree on the business requirements and expectations of output
• Performing statistical analysis and using results to improve models
• Develop a framework for various data modelling processes and establish a standard in the company
• Discover new and creative ways to improve our day-to-day business with focus on efficiency and scalability

WHAT YOU BRING IN

• Minimum of 3+ years of relevant professional experience
• University or advanced degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience with SQL, Python, Spark
• Knowledge of key Python libraries such as numpy, pandas, scipy, scikit, etc
• Good theoretical understanding of machine learning and 2+ years of practical experience with deep learning frameworks (Tensorflow, PyTorch, etc)
• Experience in data mining and statistical modelling
• Proficiency in English (both, verbal and written)
• Ability to present ideas and insights in user-friendly language
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills

We offer a competitive pay based on your experience (the specific offer depends on a certain location and evaluated skill level; the salary oscillates between 60k and 75k EUR gross/year).
